I’ve been wanting to do some more inkscape stuff, so I’ve been looking for some tutorials and inspiration online. Here are some of the drawings that came from them. More after the “read the rest of this entry” link.
Wish Inkscape had some tangent snapping for these kind of things...
Some icons from a tutorial.
Because we love Lankan style!
Logo ideas for my new Blender rig. I like the top and bottom right ones.
Playing with fonts and gradients
Logos for my old man. Bottom is his design.
Logo design for my brother's gang.
Logo based on my stickman character rig.
After some inkscape tutorials.
Quick scribbler doodle.
The top 2 are from tutorials, the lion crest is something I did for fun. It's about the dutch lion, which I retraced in Inkscape. "Luctor et emergo" means, "I struggle and I survive". The original crest is about the lion fighting against the water, seeing as my country is below sealevel. I don't really like how it turned out, I'll do a better one someday. One of the mistakes I made is to group separate objects into elements too early, and this is not a good idea when you haven't decided on the colours yet. I had some gradients and transparencies I couldn't remove or undo somehow, and then you start patching it up, and it turns worse.... Better to stick to different layers, and once everything is finished you can still group stuff together. I will certainly redo this one someday.
